In the flood of images that suggest that we are all photographers, knowledge and understanding of light are the key to comprehending the environment in the broadest possible sense. Photography thus begins with the understanding of light as a physical phenomenon and ends with light as thought. The undergraduate study of the Photography course connects technique, history and theory through individual work into a whole, thereby offering students the wide range of knowledge necessary for the photographer's integration into modern society. If the virtue of every creator is the power of performance, the speciality of photographers is the power of foresight.

The inseparability of light, time and space teaches us that following trends is easy and much harder to anticipate or even dictate. The second cycle study programme is strongly connected with theory, focused primarily on the internal understanding of the image, while accuracy and precision are a tool in the service of content. Students question the established practices of photographic language and lay new foundations by choosing their own language, appropriate for use in various projects - individual and group.
